Psalm 139: 13-16

A Psalm for those with disabilities

The Bible teaches that people with disabilities are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. Scripture strictly forbids the mistreatment of individuals with disabilities and rejects the notion that these impairments are a result of personal sin. Instead, it emphasizes inclusion, compassion, and active support for those who are vulnerable.

Psalm 139: 13-16 is as follows:

13 For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

Every individual possesses immense worth because they are created in the image of God.

God creates everyone and everything for a purpose, and every creation is made perfect according to His great purpose. He never makes a mistake.
